And Covington Latin. And, I am told, other administrator and long tenured teacher turnover.

No school is perfect. Every school has issues. The coaching carousel that has been mentioned really applies only to baseball. Why it happens in baseball, I don't know. The AD and principle are the same across all the sports, yet there is no coaches revolving door with respect to the other sports. Maybe there is something that is inherent only to the sport of baseball. Maybe it's the parents or the players or just the game itself.

As we start up school in about 4 days, here's wishing all the students a great year, both in the classroom and in sports. Hope they are successful in finding a replacement coach soon. I bet they will.

Do the coaches not help?

 

While they will lend a hand, parents are in charge. Most coaches, especially those that teach, don't have the time to organize or be in charge of fundraisers and IMO shouldn't have to.

Blah, blah, blah! So tired of it. St H baseball has NO chance with Otte and Grau!! Any "good" coaches, parents and perspective players know this by now. A once very good program gone until Grau and Otte resigns. End of Story and thread!! If you don't believe me ask any of the 6 coaches that coached for St H in the last 5-6 years and their Sr players. JOKE!! No commitment from Otte or Grau!! So where is the problem? Starts at the top folks!! Do not send your child there to play baseball or softball unless they can stand on their own. PERIOD!!

I don't know enough history of the St.Henry baseball teams. Were they ever a power? Or a very good/dominate program before Otte and Grau? They haven't missed a regional since 2007 with multiple coaching changes (sure the district change has helped some). Can they be better...sure, but all teams want to be better.

I look for it to be much tougher for St Henry to make Regionals now....

Dixie is almost always solid, Ludlow will be much stronger and more consistent under Coach Gray and Lloyd should not be overlooked either. I think the only team that keeps a streak going in that group is Dixie.

The only issues at NewCath is not winning the boys 9th Region Tournament the past 4 years. :irked:

 

4 years? I only remember 1 in my lifetime.

News flash: There isn't one principal who goes to any games other than regional semis, finals. There are only two AD's I know of that go to regular season games and they are at Dixie an Cooper. That's only a handful of games at that. If I'm wrong please correct me. After basketball, most are done.

Tell that to Ken Mueller at Scott.

I would imagine Sanders, Gray, Sawyers, Bieger, Dixie and Scott's freshman coaches and Hill from NCC will apply.

I cant answer to the exact dealings with the baseball program but the softball program is fine. So please dont discourage people from sending their daughters to play softball there just because of your dealings.

Have heard good things about softball Coach Freedom and the program from parents.
