For once and only once I agree not with you but the fact that Collins and some others is better than Highlands...this year. To be fair rankings are a joke and unless you have earned the number 1 spot then everybody else is just last, not 2nd or 3rd or 51st, you are just last. This is why I do not like rankings unless of course they are National Rankings...LOL

 

For those that will be offended and call me elitist etc, if somebody can tell me the last time their coach told their players that our goal is to be anything after 1 is what we are shooting for then you are kidding yourself...

 

The Birds have no business being pre-season ranked #1, some past years, no argument but this team will have to take care of CovCath first, LexCath, Boyle and then Collins and perhaps others in order to regain their status as #1

 

Highlands really is in the position and has certainly earned the label and will be the "underdog" in most of its games this yr which is something they haven't seen in many yrs against anyone including the Cincy Powers

 

This could be either a really bad year for Highlands or an even worst yr for their opponents...I doubt that Highlands will take anything or anybody for granted this yr. :thumb:

 

This is a very "Mediocre" Highlands team this year and I wish all a very healthy and successful season no matter where you finish:thumb:

I really really am hoping that CCH can finally break through and beat Highlands this year. I want to see how good they can be if HHS isn't in their way.

I will even wear the Colonels mascot outfit during that game if they'd let me.

Warren East has 27 seniors, and the best player in Class 4A in Eli Brown. When East is up, they're a tough team to beat. I would have to put them ahead of Owensboro. I would also put Mad. North Hopkins ahead of Obro in the West. From the West, I say it's WE, MNH, or Collins. JMO.

Collins will win state again and lose one game to SK. Sorry to the rest of the 4A hopefuls!

Good point. I think sometimes it is easy to dismiss a school like Warren East because they aren't a traditional powerhouse but they made strides while Bruni was at East and they continue to field quality teams even after he left. Warren East will definitely be a team to keep an eye on. Especially with Eli Brown on the team. In a top heavy class like 4A a player of his stature is capable of carrying Warren East quite a ways on his own.
