Is Jason Booher out at Holmes?

Featured Replies

There is interest from one side...... but I'm sure there will be a lot of applicants given the current roster and history of Holmes basketball in the 9th region and statewide.

Coach L would make sense.

Top candidates have to be Listerman or Carr don't they?

Isn't his wife from that area? Her dad was a legendary football coach if I remember correctly.

Disagree with this...Booher came from Shelby Valley and had plenty of success with "inner city kids."

There is a great assistant coaching staff in place so regardless of who gets the head coaching job, there will be a great support structure.

Are you saying Shelby Valley had inner city kids on the roster or am I misreading your post?

I have no inside info on candidates but I think it's safe to assume Listerman is a candidate.

Ross Hart could be a candidate as well.

Will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

The timing of this move will really shake things up. I'd expect there to be a long line of candidates but how many would jump this late in the summer?

No I'm saying Shelby Valley and Holmes are two completely different settings and he had success at both.

This should be hands down Listerman's job, he is well respected, will get the kids to play hard, and could prep the next longtime coach like coach Ross Hart.

Why wouldn't they ask Listerman to do it this year and have a full on search committee and hire a full time replacement after this season? Even with that you would think Listerman would be a finalist no matter how many finalists are on the short list.

Yet after he was replaced at his last place they have done nothing but improve greatly. Maybe the people that wanted him out knew what they were talking about. Of course it didn't hurt that the new coach had a kid that was really good.

Very true. a lot of coaches would want this job especially if they could be in administration and still continue to coach. It will be interesting to see what they do, although I do think they will go with Listerman.

Wow, wish Jason noting but the best.

Ditto! Have always enjoyed watching his team compete. Good luck to Jason and his entire family.

Interesting he posted his resume on his resignation letter. Best wishes to him and to the Bulldogs.

How do the Holmes kids get along with Coach Listerman? Think Bud (Wimsey) will ever be a head coach?

I could be wrong but I dont think Bud is interested in a head coaching position.
