Looks like a good schedule for Beechwood. A few tough games that will help the tigers. Any one care to try and predict a record?

The games that will be the toughest challenges are Mt. Healthy, Dixie, Franklin Co., Cov Cath and New Cath. Cov Cath will be a very difficult game to win. They are a two platoon big school that is very well coached. If Beechwood wins that, it is a big, big upset. That is the only game on the schedule that I see as a likely loss. Dixie has a very good team coming back so that will be another tough one to win as a 1A school versus a 6A school. I put the other three as tough, winnable games. With the team Beechwood has coming back, more than two losses in the regular season will be a bit disappointing. I will go with 8-2.

I don't know what Mt. Helathy lost, but they were really really good last year. I think Mt. Healthy last year would have crushed Beechwood.

I keep hearing the same things over and over just worded differently

 

I recall the dynasty being over if they didn't win it, super frosh were the saviors of the program

 

 

Why is this year any more pivotal? It would seem to me that win or lose, they will be in a much easier place after this year and this year they seem to have it on paper but that is nothing new either as the famed super frosh laid an egg. I think Bw has had failure in coaching with Rash. Mf routinely comes out with 3Quarter adjustments and lays waste to the Tigers. So to go where they want this year I think the coaching staff needs to step up

 

My son plays for BW and I completely agree with you. Rash and his coaches are great people and great football minds, but they are not game coaches.

I don't know, for whatever reasons I can see the tigers knocking off the blue colonels. But you're right. CCH and DH will be really tough games. I think it will be tough, but doable, to go 8-2 with there schedule.

I should probably check the other Beechwood thread, but how many players does Beechwood have on the team this year? How many guys will probably end up playing both ways? Or is it to early to know?

Don't know anything about a couple of their opponents but I can see anything between 6-4 and 8-2. Great schedule should prepare them well going into the playoffs.

If not for Mayfield, I doubt we are having this conversation and all would be well in Tiger land. With the Cards departure, Bw should be able to return to their days of domination more years than not

 

Who wouldn't dominate when you take away the top competition?

Looks as though they will have about 50-55 players on the roster, a number of kids will go both ways, but it looks as though they have enough depth to keep fresh legs on the field and not have 6 or 7 kids play every snap. My guess is that 20-23 kids will see significant snaps during a game, and that doesn't include special teams. Just my opinion for what its worth. I realistically see BW going 8-2, Mt. Healthy is somewhat of an unknown, but their qb has committed to Ohio State as an athlete so we know that young man can flat out play, I did hear they lost some quality kids on both the O line and D line to graduation, have no idea how good the replacements are....but my guess is they will be pretty darned good....I think that game is winnable. CCH and Dixie are going to tough, as they always are.....still sticking with 8-2

Anybody who thinks that Mike Yeagle or Coach Rash are "just above average" coaches needs to have their head examined!
