Heard this discussion on KSR & wondered what BGP thought about it.

 

Which happens first: Does Patrick Towles start his fifth game or does Drew Barker start his first?

I think he can afford to be patient still. Anything over 4 wins is a successful season. No one should expect more than that right now.

I think Towles starts his 5th. I also think that if Barker doesn't start the season as the starter then go ahead and redshirt him.

This...has to Redshirt him if it is at all possible. Barker is currently 3rd on depth chart coming out of spring...no reason to rush him. IF Towles can get the job done.

Stoops won't make the same mistake Joker did.

I believe it plays out like this.

And also, doesn't matter to me who the QB is as long as they give UK the best chance at winning. If not, then move on to the next!

If Towles, or anyone else starts the first four, Barker should redshirt. Starter, backup, and Max Smith is another month or so along and should be able to play. Why would you take the redshirt off of a guy when you have three others.

Simple decision. If Barker is not #1 on opener redshirt him.

You don't think Barker will ever start a game at UK?
