I'm not here to be Barker's agent, Lord knows he doesn't need that, but I'd hope we can all admit that Urban Meyer and Steve Spurrier are 50x more effective at evaluating college QB's than any member on this site. Maybe Barker turns out to not be able to play in the SEC, I don't profess to be a master QB evaluator, but I have a hunch if he does fall short it will surprise a lot of the brightest minds in college coaching.

Im saying that if they thought he was so good and a must have, wouldnt he have been there over UK, whats he gonna do at UK?

Last I saw SC was a leader for Barker until Stoops took over at UK. Stoops did a tremendous job of keeping Barker in the state. If Joker was still at the helm at UK then I guarantee Barker would be at South Carolina with Spurrier drinking some good old southern iced tea.

Get a free education and a chance to start at your home state university? Not sure what's so confusing about that. We complain all the time about our top recruits going out of state and when one stays we think it's because he couldn't go somewhere else?

Barker simply chose UK over South Carolina, which wouldn't have happened without Stoops. Barker has stated as much.

I saw Barker play twice. Once was the game against Cov. Cath. were Conner got killed. Barker did not look very good. But to be fair to him, Conner had at least a few kids going both ways and Barker looked about as big as a few of his Offensive linemen.

 

 

To be even more fair we have also seen our share of quarterbacks dominate at the high school level regardless of their opponent and still not be able to perform at the next level.

Im sure he does, but if he really wanted him at SC he would have done more to get him there, and not lose this top talent.

He can play anywhere, coach this kid on the 8th grade Team KY, great football mind.

Possibly, but he hasnt played the position long either. Depends on what offense you want to run.

Didnt really follow it, I know he choose UK, which even at the time I thought was kinda odd, having Towles already there.
