The 2,3 and 4 hitters, the meat of the order, all strikeout! It must have been potted meat!!!

Braun doing his best Joey Votto impersonation.

Cozart's hand is fine. His brain, not so much.

Unreal

Unreal

Real. Very real...

MTGL, at this point, your 75 win prediction is looking dead on. Don't see this team winning another 25 games unless they do something with the offense.

As I mentioned in the Inside the Reds thread, that winning streak was viewed by many as a bad thing, so you have to assume the inverse is true right now. If they fall far enough out in the next week, you have to think Cueto is at least somewhat "available".

They just aren't good enough to make any noise this year, with or without Ben Zobrist, so I'm all for them making the moves that will make them better in 2015 and beyond. As it is now they aren't very solidly built and they need to remedy that. I can only assume Mr. Miyagi is rubbing Brandon's thumb everyday. They have nothing at AAA, are strapped with a few big contracts, and have a couple of other guys they aren't going to be able to keep. Scrap the last two months and fix a few things. My opinion.

Cueto is still under contract for next season correct? If so, why wouldn't they wait until next season, or at least till the off season?

Will his value ever be higher than right now? What if he hurts his lat again? With a year left under contract, I think now is the perfect time to trade him and maximize his value. People will pay more for him today than they would when he was a 3 month rent-a-player.

I wouldn't be against moving Cueto, if it meant they got 2-3 near MLB ready high level prospects in return, but would he command that?

And what do you think the Reds would seek in return?
