Who are the strongest Football players in the state???

Without video, I have to believe most of these numbers are grossly exaggerated. It's not that difficult to get a video.

The kid I posted about did it at state meet...should be able to verify.

Kid I posted about broke his state squat record at Boyd County weight meet. Should be able to verify that as well.

Does a powerlifting official or a NASA representate have to be there to be considered a state record. I just can't see the officials who keep track of records taking a coaches or volunteers word on it saying "yep went deep enough". I really have no clue and was just curious. I actually hate NASA events personally.

Cade Warnock (soph) Greenup 175lbs

Bench 280, Squat 475, Power Clean 275

Won his weight class at Raceland and Boyd weight meets.

That's a pretty good power clean for that weight. I think I seen him at the Raceland meet. Good looking kid.

Tucker has increased his squatting to 600. Bench is still at the 325. He is a young 15 . He is a Sophomore at Scott high school and plays football.

Guys lets see some videos of these numbers...these are elite numbers for young kids. With instagram and facebook and phones we have now it should be pretty easy to actually document these.

For a lift to be a record, it needs to occur at an official event. There are different organizations that have events. National Association of Strength Athletes (NASA) is one of many. A player can become a member and attend for a yearly fee. These organizations have very strict rules concerning each lift type. For example, for the bench press to count: the lifter needs to lower the bar on command, touch his chest, pause, raise the bar on command, hold the weight, and rack the weight on command. If any of these steps are not followed correctly, the lift is no good.

For the squat to count, the knees have to be below the hips.

They also drug test after state and national records.

Simply having your son's coach say it was a good lift doesn't count. I have been to high school meets where the kids bounce the weight off their chests like basketballs and the lifts are counted as good. Each high school meet has different rules. I even saw one where the kid's coach kept his hands on the weight all the way down and up and the lift counted.

When a high school player is claiming a 400 bench or 500+ squat I want video. I want it for two reasons. First, to verify it happened. Second to be able to witness an athletic anomaly. If you see a kid attempting these kinds of weights, get it on film. Most people will never believe it without proof.

Awesome....352lb is darn impressive. Thanks for the video.

Im not a big fan of powerlifting benching. Everything else yes but not benching. Just my own personal opinion. Benching is mostly all technique. Either they have only the butt and shoulders touching or they widen their grip way out. I do respect a deep squat and clean. It would be amazing to see some of the beasts I've seen at local schools in the area I'm from bench if they had better form.

I would put his Instagram tag on here but I don't know how appropriate it is to put a high school student's social media accounts on a public forum.

I understand that. Probably a smart decision.

Rico Hill Mason County benches 390. He is 5'8, 204lbs.
