We are 3 pages in to this thread and I think only 2 CURRENT players have been named. Let's move away from what guys did 30 years ago and what our numbers as posters are.

What are current players doing? With today's technology video evidence shouldn't be hard to find.

This could be a cool thread. We don't get many like it.

What lifts do they usually keep track of Squat Bench Deadlift and I assume Cleans or clean and press I notice a lot of teams just do their cleans from standing .From the floor to the press is a lot better for determining strength most meets these days are simply push= bench, pull= deadlift .

According to his Hudl page, Josh Miller from John Hardin can bench around 400 Pounds and squat over 500 pounds. He played RB last year but is moving to FB this year. There is a video of him on youtube where he is squatting 455 pounds 4 times. I think that is impressive for a RB/FB. I cannot confirm the 400 pound bench press but I know this kid is very strong.

Every rep of that was high. Strong kid no doubt, but those weren't even parallel.

Interesting topic, although I'm reminded of Tony Mandrich who benched 225lbs 39 times at his NFL combine and was an absolutely terrible football player with no footwork and no technique. Being the strongest doesn't make you the best football player - or even a good one.

Evan Richardson has benched 405 on three different occasions with poor form (butt off the bench and no pause). Got 353lbs at the 2014 NASA competition with perfect form. Missed 363lbs at the same event. The video of 353lbs is on youtube. Squat is 525lb. Power clean 315lbs. Deadlift 585 lbs. Hudl video benching 335 for five in the winter.

no where near 405 bad form or not

Well if you would have read my post. I did lift with the Yeager's and played ball with them and I NEVER SEEN THEM LIFT THE#'S you are saying Kemo, I'm not saying they weren't strong for their size, I knew them from 82 to 85. Sorry not trying to doubt anyone just didn't see it and I was around them a lot.

So the question is Who are the strongest players and the obvious follow up is how much do they lift. Three pages in and we still have only four names. Kemo you mentioned some Campbell Co. guys, can we get a name(s)? In another thread this years Camels seem to not be getting much respect. If they have dudes putting up those # it gets my attention.

I train two one is a beast but isnt playing .The other Is the strongest I have ever seen lol Austin Myers. He didnt play in the 7on 7 games he was preparing for Greco and Freestyle Nationals in Fargo where he hopes to become KYs first ever Greco All American in the Jr Div and Kys first ever Double All American in the whole tournaments history.

Hes on A different level in the Gym than most kids probably All ,Looking at Ill .Mich State ,Iowa State ,Cornell.NC State

and a few more .for wrestling ranked 1 for incoming srs in the nation at 220 currently .pulls over 6 ,and benches clean reps with 315 for 6 to 8 one arm s atches 125 + and trains strongman ,and has been an Ohio Naga youth Champ .

all at around 220 to 30 .Hes a Monster but dont take my word for it google him ask or watch .He has trained since he was Six yr old and he will make men look like boys.has a shot at being Kys first ever totally undefeated inn season HS wrestler and the nations first ever 4x state champ at 220 .I raised him to devestate people and thats what he does he is the most dominant wrestler in the Central USA winning the ow at central regionals in Freestyle and Greco .no one lasted a period with him in Freestyle at Regionals and yes a football thread discussing Power .

so I think a wrestler who dominates his and others states is powerful.

That's awesome! Congratulations to Austin. I know we are crossing over sports but it is great when one our KY football players gets recognition for whatever reason.
