Honestly, I always thought the same thing, and then I went back and watched it again with my boyfriend so he could catch up, and we both thought season 3 was actually really good. It seemed random at the time, but re-watching it I liked it more. The finale of that season was the best, aside from this past season.

Agreed I've gone back and started watching all seasons again so its all fresh for the last season. When I went back and watched season 3 was amazing , so much better than I first thought.

Never watched a single episode of either.

SOA doesn'tcome close to breaking Bad. Breaking Bad is one of the best shows ever sons of anarchy is just pretty good.

Breaking Bad is one of the best shows ever created. The character development for everyone is astonishing. There's so many emotional strings to each character and the twists were great as well. You know it's a great show when it's still being nominated for stuff and it's not even on the air.

To each their own I didn't find Breaking Bad that entertaining or interesting. It was OK to me. SOA is in my top 5 list .

Never watched a single episode of either.

I am completely in agreement with the transformation and development of the characters in BB. It was really incredible to see Walter's transformation. But Skylar was truly an insufferable character for me and at times, I was bored by the show. I guess that's why I can't get it over the hump and into SOA zone for me.

As a fan of the show you naturally root for Walt, so I get what you are saying about Skylar, but what could they have really done different with her, I think her actions / reactions to things that occurred were natural for the most part, other than a lot of people might have ratted Walt out, once they became aware of his activities, but that would have made for much of a show.

The answer is secret option C, The Shield.

The first two seasons of SOA are on par with Breaking Bad. Better even. After that, there is simply no comparison. And I say that as someone who has watched every episode of each.

Agreed I think Shield is probably the most under appreciated show of the last 20 years.

I think one reason that The Shield wasn't as widely watched is that it was one of the first shows that was on FX as orignal programing. Not sure that as many people watched FX when it debuted as they do now, and I think many people just missed the boat. Another deterent is that The Shield isn't available on Netflix as are SOA and BB. Currently other than buying the DVD's, I'm not aware of any way to watch The Shield. It's a shame more people haven't watched it. Vic Makey was a great character. Shane, Lem, Ronnie, all great as well.

This is like asking what do I like better, olives or chocolate ice cream. Breaking Bad in a landslide.

I love Sons of Anarchy. But Breaking Bad is the best show of them all IMO. Even better than the Sopranos. Starts slow, but man its nearly perfect. Perfectly cast, awesome story.

Does Walt really transform or does he just finally get the guts to do the stuff he always wanted to do? Stand up for himself, become rich, get out of his job that he felt was beneath him.
