I constantly wage this war with my other half.

 

Is Sons of Anarchy or Breaking Bad a better series? Hard to fully decide since BB is over and Sons final season is about to show, but...as it stands, which do you prefer. Why?

Sons of Anarchy. Only because I watched the first two episodes of Breaking Bad and it didn't captivate me like Sons of Anarchy did.

It took me a while to get into it as well. And I never got quite as emotionally drawn in as I have with Sons.

I really like both but breaking bad was the better show by far.

You should give it another chance. The transformation of Walter White from start to finish is what makes him probably my favorite character of all time, right up there with Vic Mackey.

Breaking Bad was phenomenal. It took me a season or so to earnestly get into it, but by the end of it I was binge watching it, bug-eyed with my jaw on the floor. Just awesome. There are very few shows I would consider on its level.

My boyfriend feels the same as you, but I've watched BB all the way through and the transformation IS incredible which makes it one of the best for me, but I still feel like the storylines overall are much more interesting and gripping in SOA.

I've never seen SOA but I was a Breaking Bad addict. I got in on it late, had to catch up on Netflix, and then watched the last two seasons as they aired. Loved the show and was mesmerized by Walt's transformation and the way that story developed. Great writing and directing.

I love SOA, but season 3 was really weak, nowhere near the same level as the other seasons.

Honestly, I always thought the same thing, and then I went back and watched it again with my boyfriend so he could catch up, and we both thought season 3 was actually really good. It seemed random at the time, but re-watching it I liked it more. The finale of that season was the best, aside from this past season.

Nothing, and I mean nothing, can be more overrated than Walking Dead.

I love them both, no reason to pick one. Both have episodes and characters that stand out. As a whole I can't really chose, they are similar so I get the comparison but both are also completely different. BB kinda goes with a slow boil to epic explosions and SOA just blows up out of no where almost every week.

 

I really can't pick one over the other.
