Huggins and Erik Martin did a great job recruiting him. Unlike most coaches who only saw him play in the EYBL and maybe backed off because of him playing a lot of the two, they came and watched him play high school ball and practice and saw first hand what he can do when given the opportunity to play with the ball in his hands.

 

Bolden is a scoring point guard and that plays right in to what Huggins likes to do with his point guards with the ball screens/pick and roll.

 

Add that he will have the opportunity to come in and start from day 1 and that also makes it an easy decision.

 

Bottom line...Huggins loved him, wanted him, and got him.
