May 13, 201412 yr Would you kiss your wife at a party celebrating one of your accomplishments? I would, then I'd smash cake into her face and eat it!
May 13, 201412 yr I would, then I'd smash cake into her face and eat it! Definitely agree that the cake smashing was a bit excessive, but if that's how he wanted to celebrate, more power to him. It was his moment to enjoy however he deemed necessary.
May 13, 201412 yr I don't think this has anything to do with "lifestyle promotion". It's simply about equal and fair treatment for gays and lesbians. Michael Sam (or any other prominent gay figure) isn't out leading the charge to convert straight people and promote how cool or great the gay lifestyle is. And the movement for Gays and Lesbians to have equal and fair treatment has been going on for quite a few years now, and that hasn't resulted in all the folks who engage in strange fetishes coming out of the woodwork. This is not going to lead to the end of society. Yes on all counts rjs4470, I agree on all your points. I'm simply making an attempt to inject humor into a way too sensitive issue in an entitled pc culture. Thank you for carrying the ambassador torch!

May 13, 201412 yr ESPN is showing Michael Sams press conference later. I made the mistake of flipping it there thinking I would see done highlights or something. Instead they talked about Sterling and Magic a little then mentioned Sam for I'm sure the millionth time today.
May 14, 201412 yr So they wouldn't take offense to someone saying "If you're straight and don't care, I question your manhood"? Or how about the rainbow jersey comment in the other thread? As a matter of fact I call them the rainbow couple and they tell me I'm the one missing out. We both laugh at each other as they know I am not meaning it it in a derogatory way.
May 14, 201412 yr The ignorance and intolerance of people is pretty mind-boggling to me. They showed two guys kissing? Oh My God, the world is ending! Who cares? I saw at least a couple dozen other players be shown when they were drafted and almost every one of them kissed their significant other. Where's the threads on those? People ask why do gay people have to come out and tell everyone their gay, well this is a perfect example of why. Progress is being made, but still a ways off. Two men kiss and it's a multi-page thread. A man and woman kiss, and not a soul says a word. I don't want to see it. They don't show endless replays of Johnny Manziel kissing anybody. Or AJ McCarron. I don't want to see anybody kissing anybody. Especially two men.

May 14, 201412 yr I agree. PDA makes me cringe as well. Call me "old fashioned." Same here. Probably the only "old fashioned" thing about my personality. :lol2:

I don't want to see it either, and haven't to this point, but that's because I refuse to watch anything on ESPN other than games and I don't watch any type of program on the other sports outlets where it may appear. They can play it until they turn purple for all I care. I'll probably never see it.

May 14, 201412 yr I've found myself watching less and less of ESPN as I get older. Me too. I can remember the days of starting and ending my day with Sportscenter, and watching several hours of Espn on Sunday morning. Maybe 16-20 hours a week, not ncluding games. I suppose the internet has lessened my need to watch as I get my sports news whenever I want and I do look at ESPN.com quite a bit. But for the moat part I don't find ESPN all that entertaining anymore.
May 14, 201412 yr I've found myself watching less and less of ESPN as I get older. Truth be told, I actually watch ESPN a lot more than I used to. Five or six years ago, I was watching live games and NOTHING else. 30 for 30 has brought me back to ESPN.
