I feel bad for both parties involved.

I would have to know if there was a car in the other lane which would have forced him onto the hood of her car. Only thing certain from the video is the deputy was on the side of the car' date=' not front of it in the video and secondly is that the victim clearly disobeyed a lawful Order to stop. It wouldn't discount it. But as I said you would have to know if she drove close enough to the cruiser to force him onto the hood of her car. That is the only reason I could see that would force him onto the hood to prevent him from being crushed between the 2 cars.

I agree we need to know if he had to jump on the hood, or if he could have let her drive off, then follow her in his car, after she failed to comply with his order. That is the entire case .

Jump on her hood because his life was in danger I might add.

I will say, and I hate to say this, but the video doesn't look good if that is the only evidence they have to defend his actions. I hate to say that but it's just my opinion.

Seemingly she for sure knew she was disobeying the cop but she for sure wasn't trying to run him over either from what we've seen so far.

I read on a separate page it was broken and I'm simply speculating on a reason.

So do they have audio of the entire incident? If they do they need to release it soon. Video looks bad for the officer. They just showed more video and some audio where the guy in the car behind her (I think) was yelling to the cop what are you doing what are you doing?

Girl who was in the back seat said he jumped on the hood, shot the girl and she then sped up after being wounded....

I have to agree from the video on TV, it didn't look like she was trying to run over him. It does look like she was disobeying an officer. Sad for all involved.
