Being personally honest, I think we'd all be ashamed of everything we've ever said if you took a transcript of the worst of our worst. I think Sterling is a guy whose had this kind of thing coming to him for awhile based on his history, but methinks we're all guilty of saying things we wouldn't be proud of (but there is something to be said for doing it so many times that it begins to form a pattern of behavior and is more than just a weak moment). With the lifetime ban, Sterling's legacy is forever marked by this incident and people will be citing it as a footnote. He can't pass the team on to his heirs, and, no matter how much money you have, there are only 30 NBA teams and a very limited number of professional franchises that people can have. It's a very exclusive club and Sterling and his heirs are now kicked out, and it's not something you just jump back into.
