This IMO right now could be in the fans hands...a FAN BOYCOTT of the next playoff game would scare the :poop: out of the other owners and I think they would push to remove Sterling IF the fans boycotted.

Yeah I know they are already paid for, that's why I think it would have a bigger impact. That the fans thought so strongly about this that they would forgo going to the game as a protest. Financially the only loss would be for parking, concessions and souvenirs but the impact of them staying home would be huge!

No, because they're already getting their money, they could care less if they attend or not.

 

Now, as HT said, if season ticket holders don't renew their tickets in the offseason, that would be a statement.

 

If the game doesn't happen (i.e. a player boycott) they're required to give all money back to those who purchased tickets. THAT would scare the crap out of them.

I pretty much agree with what Cuban is saying. It is a sliperry slope. I really don't see how the NBA is justified in punishing Sterling for something that occurred with in his home. Being a racist isn't illegal, unless he broke some employement laws or something, I don't like the idea of him not being able to think or say whatever he wants. If he is too naive to realize that those comments will have consequences than that is on him. He is an owner of the franchise not an employee. I think the NBA should just let the problem resolve itself. The outrage from the fans and sponsers will likely be enough to force him to sell for financial reasons.

If owners move to do that then they set themselves up for same thing if something happens with them.
