I know that trade was mentioned but I don't think Miami was ever serious about trading Stanton for anything less than the farm. Lets not forget Miami is going to have to pay Homer and Chapman a lot of money. Stanton is Puerto Rican and I'm sure he has a huge following in that demographic.

So we should just pencil a guy into a Major League lineup for roughly half the season as an experiment? Sounds like a stellar plan..

Once again you talk about Bailey and Chapman being overrated but that the Marlins will give up their best player for them. How is that possible? Are they (HB and AC) good enough for Miami to give up their best player or are they (HB and AC) overrated as you claim?

Umm, we're talking about baseball, not the NBA. Sign and trades don't happen in the MLB. The Marlins wouldn't have done the trade. They would want young controllable assets. Such as a Cingrani or Stephenson and Hamilton. Not Homer.
