Reds at Pirates (4/21 thru 4/24)

So because Chapman is Latin that makes the trade go? I know that trade was mentioned but I don't think Miami was ever serious about trading Stanton for anything less than the farm. Lets not forget Miami is going to have to pay Homer and Chapman a lot of money.

Stanton is Puerto Rican and I'm sure he has a huge following in that demographic.

I would agree with you if Heisey was given the opportunity to play everyday the All-Star break, and then decide, I'm not going to agree until he's given an everyday chance, beyond an 11 game stretch, once.

So we should just pencil a guy into a Major League lineup for roughly half the season as an experiment? Sounds like a stellar plan..

So you think Bailey is good enough for the Marlins to trade away their best player but not good enough for the Reds to keep? Which is it?

Champman was the bait, and you could have used Baileys money toward Stanton contract, duh!

That's exactly what Gomes, Tavares, and Patterson where given, why not Heisey?

Again, it all sounds great, until you (the Marlins) look 2 years out and see no Homer, no Chapman, and a superstar in Stanton not wearing a Marlins jersey.

I don't think Chapman is bait for the Marlins to give up their best player who is Puerto Rican and has a following in that area. Sorry.

MJ should make the next "Track the Reds" thread a Premium thread...

That's why the Reds should have done the ole sign and trade with Bailey and in 2 years Chapman would still be making less the Stanton at that point, the Marlins would have done this trade the Reds wouldn't, because they think both players are better then they really are, remember ZERO playoff series won since 1990, typical Reds.

1995... If you're going to argue facts please at least do a little research and quit while you're behind

There is 0% chance Miami would have done it. It would have take Hamilton, Stephenson, Cingrani, Chapman, and another guy. That's ignorant

Once again you talk about Bailey and Chapman being overrated but that the Marlins will give up their best player for them. How is that possible? Are they (HB and AC) good enough for Miami to give up their best player or are they (HB and AC) overrated as you claim?

Umm, we're talking about baseball, not the NBA. Sign and trades don't happen in the MLB.

The Marlins wouldn't have done the trade. They would want young controllable assets. Such as a Cingrani or Stephenson and Hamilton. Not Homer.

WOW!!!!

WOW!!!!

Go Bengals!!!
