Career Numbers Ludwick: 1,611 OF chances, 12 errors, 1.82 RF, .993 FPT Heisey: 551 OF chances, 8 errors, 1.50 RF, .985 FPT But then again I guess Heisey is better....
April 21, 201412 yr How about instead of complaining about Ludwick playing everyday, we look at it from a team standpoint and see that he and Heisey are a combined .301 avg, 3 HR, 12 RBI, and on pace for a season of 27 HRs (18 Ludwick, 9 Heisey) and 108 RBI (63 Ludwick, 45 Heisey)...If they do that for the entire year, this team is going to be in very good shape with the pitching they have. Well if you're OK with a 36 year old who averages over the past 5 years 16 hr. a .252 BA. and 66 RBI's to play left and hit 4-5-6 in your line up everyday, then you're OK with a .500 team year in year out. I'm not.

Hit the nail on the head UKMF. If you tell me that, at the end of the year, my left-fielders are going to combine for .300/25/100...I'm ecstatic. Because that was a big question mark coming into this year.

I'd love them to have a LF that hit .280, 25 HRs, and knocked in 80-100 runs a year. They don't have that on the roster though. Ludwick is the closest thing they've got to that.

You're right a broke down 36 year old vs. a 27 year old at this point is proably better? You do realize Ludwig WAS good when he played for the cards 4-5 years ago right, guessing Jim Edmounds is better then Heisey at this point to. Hope the Reds can sign Vince Coleman and Willie Mcgee too, go buy a clue. to even compare these two defensively at this poijnt, shows you know nothing about MLB right now
