You do realize Ludwig WAS good when he played for the cards 4-5 years ago right, guessing Jim Edmounds is better then Heisey at this point to. Hope the Reds can sign Vince Coleman and Willie Mcgee too, go buy a clue. to even compare these two defensively at this poijnt, shows you know nothing about MLB right now Let's continue to reach. Heisey may be better than Ludwick but it's not by an astronomical margin like you want us to believe. I know plenty about baseball and the MLB. One thing I know is that Ludwick is more of an everyday player than Heisey. As UKMF pointed out, the two of them together are on pace for a very solid season out of our LFers but to think Heisey can do that by himself is ludicrous.
April 21, 201412 yr The Marlins 100% would have made this trade to get Bailey and the LATIN Chapman comes home to Miami, this was a no brainier for the Marlins to get the Cuban Missle, but for some reason the Reds still think Homer Bailey is the next Tom Seaver, and they drafted him #1, no way the Reds are ever going to give up on him, because of being a #1 pick, just because. and oh yeah, he has a bobble head night coming up too, my bad.

I would agree with you if Heisey was given the opportunity to play everyday the All-Star break, and then decide, I'm not going to agree until he's given an everyday chance, beyond an 11 game stretch, once.

So they would've traded one of the elite young players in the game, who is under team control for 3-4 more seasons at a very cheap price-tag, for one year of Homer (he would've bolted in FA because they're a small market team that doesn't have the cash to throw at these FAs) and 2 years of Chapman, who also would've bolted the second for the $$ as soon as he's able? Sorry, but you're dreaming if you think that's true. A more likely, plausible scenario would be Chapman, Stephenson/Cingrani, and Hamilton. They probably would've done that deal.
