April 22, 201412 yr and BINGO was his name O !!! Reds WILL lose this series 3-1 then lose 2 of 3 in Atlanta. How'd Dudwig do last night??? Pure Garbage!!! There are many teams looking for fans. You can go root for someone that you think has a better shot if you'd like. Man I get frustrated with the game sometimes but some people really just must be miserable....

April 22, 201412 yr I know a manager is going to have some growing pains early, but are we really supposed to believe nobody was available to pitch to one batter in the top of the 8th after Leake went the first 7 or that Hoover had to get out of the 9th b/c they had guys that weren't available? They weren't available b/c he used all his best guys in a 8-0 game Sunday? What?
April 22, 201412 yr Saw today the Reds lead the majors in runs since Votto took over the 2 hole. I think it's a bit of a coincidence but still, offense is on fire since he's been there It also is the same day Meso returned to the lineup. The Votto move has helped, but having the best hitter in baseball since then has helped more.
April 22, 201412 yr Am I the only one who thinks Phillips was setting up to "hotdog" the final play, and he could have easily caught it had he simply backed up like a normal 2B would have?

Personally, I think the ball just had some weird english on it. Has he ever broke left to catch a bloop that landed to his right before? Edited April 22, 201412 yr by ESPNdeux

I surely think someone should've been ready by the time Hoover walked two in a row to start the inning. Or at least loosening.
April 22, 201412 yr Are you a Reds fan? Yes, but things have got to change, and soon, this has been the same team for about the last 5 years. Yet they still haven't won a playoff series yet. I keep hearing how much talent this team has, and I just don't see it. Think this team has also tied an anchor around it's neck for the next six years, by re-signing Bailey, I would have never done it. This team also needs to trade for a big bat in LF, and I don't care what anybody says, I don't think Frazier is the answer at 3rd either. Just sick of this franchise slowly turning into the Bengals right in front of our eyes, and I do NOT like the Bengals, at all. Tough times still to come, and don't give me the " Yeah, but it's better then the 90's was." Don't be satisfied with just getting there, do something when you get there, I.E. see the Cardinals for details. UHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhggggggggggggggggg.

I'm completely biased against Phillips, can't stand him, and will always think everything he does is solely a "me" move. Which is why I asked, wanted to see if it was my bias clouding my judgment or if others thought it. Based on your two replies, it looks like my bias.

Thank GOD, so you feel the same about Phillips as I do. I really think Phillips would rather go 5-5 in a game, with two web gems on espn, and lose, then go 1-5 and have an error, and win. He is a "ME" guy 100% not a fan of Hot Dog Dat Dude.

I think the majority of people feel that way about Phillips.
