March 31, 201412 yr Keep hearing something happened on press row or at the press conference between them...What Happened?
March 31, 201412 yr Basically Larry called Dakich out for wearing Michigan gear on press row. Not a written rule but something that is just not done, especially wearing gear from a school you didnt even attend.

This is one of these tiffs that no one cares about.

And for openly cheering for UM, I think the gear part would have been more of an annoyance, if not for the cheering.
March 31, 201412 yr Pure silliness His boy plays for Michigan. This is one of these tiffs that no one cares about. He was there as a member of the media. You don't cheer and wear one teams gear when you're there as a professional.
March 31, 201412 yr He was there as a member of the media. You don't cheer and wear one teams gear when you're there as a professional. Actually, it's pretty much verboten, and most credential agreements spell this out. It's not very strictly enforced, as you might imagine.
March 31, 201412 yr I would never think of cheering for a team on press row. That was basically spelled out to me as rule no 1
March 31, 201412 yr According to the KSR radio show there is much more to the story. Apparently Dakich was less than friendly toward Vaught. Made fun of his clothes, said something about Vaught's "little blog", and call him a crouchety old man.
March 31, 201412 yr He was there as a member of the media. You don't cheer and wear one teams gear when you're there as a professional. Again. The only people that care about that are people who are in the media. Who cares if a media member is rooting for a team much less a team his son plays for.
