March 31, 201412 yr Again. The only people that care about that are people who are in the media. Who cares if a media member is rooting for a team much less a team his son plays for. I thought you were one that is a stickler for following the rules.
March 31, 201412 yr Hard to defend Dakich in that case Who knows what happened but in no way can one question DD's ability to be a horse's rear end. This is the media equivalent of inside baseball or inside the beltway.

And Vaught is in the media, and is the one who called him out on it. Should other media personnel not take him to task for it?

People who work now or have worked in the past in this field would care. I've known Larry most of my life and he's not perfect but he's earned his stripes not to put up with such crap on Press Row from a guy who is famous for one game and little else IMO.
March 31, 201412 yr I thought you were one that is a stickler for following the rules. Overall, yes. However, as I've said, this press row crying is of no interest to 99.9% of us.
March 31, 201412 yr Dakich said there was no cheering. Said he asked to borrow stats from Detroit writer. Said Larry going to Twitter to slam him and his buddy was over the line. Said Vaught didnt have the guts to ask Dan to pipe down. Brought Larry a cup of coffee. Larry refused it. Made a smart remark to DD. DD then tool some shots at him for going to Twitter instead of to DD.

March 31, 201412 yr The story I heard, albeit on KSR, was that when Dakich took the coffee to Vaught he said something along the line of "here you go you crochety old man". That beating someone over the head with the olive branch. Bottomline in a situation like this nobody is innocent.
March 31, 201412 yr I'm inclined to believe Dakich's side of the story. Do you have experience with Vaught?
March 31, 201412 yr For those in the journalism field/media, is simply wearing the gear of one of the schools okay (considering his son does play there), or is that out of line IMO?
