No different than when Fisk his the homer, Swann made the great reception in the SB, Benzinger caught the final out. Just another great sports memory. Not all of them were how I'd have preferred them to happen.

March 28, 201412 yr This is true. UK got revenge on Duke in 1998 but yet UK fans remember The Shot more than their revenge. I can still vividly recall the call when Padgett knocked down the three from the top of the key in 98 to put UK up by three late. Which ultimately was the bigger shot compared to my favorite from that game, when Cameron Mills put UK up by one for the first time in forever just before that. I also remember thinking that damn heave was going to go in for Duke at the end. All that said, you mentioned later on in the thread why the other tends to get remembered more. That 92 team was beloved in a way that no UK team has been since and may never again. They pulled Kentucky from the ashes and though people probably didn't expect UK to win the game going in, you get greedy when you have it right there. Losing the way they did and with that team, it takes a bit to get over. It really helps that it's replayed every March! Personally though, I think it's even. Each team went on to win a title and that really should be the end of it. Doesn't stop the NCAA from seeing if they can get them to play as often as possible in the tournament.

March 28, 201412 yr Leattner changed my opinion of him when he played along with the UK vs. Vilians games a couple of years ago. Plus, I never really hated him for making a shot, what else was he going to do? Miss the shot on purpose. However, he is pretty irrelevant at this point in time. Just like Jack Givens, Richie Farmer, or Thomas Hill. The world moves on. Jack Givens was taking pictures with Lexington Catholic starting QB Reese Ryan last week at the Sweet 16. Looked pretty relevant to me.
