I am not a fan of either. My kids are all over the place. One is a diehard Cats fan, another lives and dies with the Cards, the other two dislikes both. It is fun listening to them

 

I believe Kentucky is playing about as well as they can, Louisville hasn't the last couple. I believe Louisville is the better team and wins. No other reason than I think they are better. I know that doesn't make sense, mine never do, which is why I am horrible at picking games. Therefore, the Cats will probably win.

The thing that UK strives on is rebounding and more importantly, rebounding on the offensive end and getting second chance points. Considering that Chane Behanan is no longer with the team really gives me more of a positive outlook on this game that I already had! Also knowing that Dakari Johnson was averaging less than 10 minutes a game when we played Louisville and know becoming a starter and really becoming a presence on the court is just the icing on the cake for my faith in the Cats.

Can anyone here explain this?

 

UK, which opened at 33-1 odds to win the national title by Bovada.LV, is down to 14-1. And as a 4.5-point underdog for Friday’s game against the University of Louisville, the Wildcats have 70 percent of incoming wagers made for them to cover.

 

“We have seen quite a bit of support for Kentucky,” said Kevin Bradley, Bovada’s sports book manager. “…I’m pretty comfortable letting them bet it and becoming a Louisville fan for that game.”

 

Why is the line holding at 4.5?

Although I strongly dislike that school approx. 70 miles west of Lexington, home of The University in Kentucky I am picking the uh...ug, cough, cough, ug....Cards to win.

I do absolutely believe that U.K. can win this game, especially with the way they have brought everything together. I just believe with U.L.'s experience, leadership still in tact from last seasons championship team that will carry them to the win down the stretch. I think that it should be a close game. I picked WSU last weekend to beat U.K. and was thrilled to be wrong, I hope that's the case late Friday night.

Even though I am a diehard UofL fan, I just dont think we will be able to get it done and here is why. Louisville likes to speed up teams, and create pressure and havoc with the press. This works extremely well against teams who run a halfcourt offense and want to get set up. UofL does not do well at all with teams who have length or teams that like to run. Unfortunately UK 1. has tremendous length and 2. are generally not very good when they have to set up their offense. Uk has both of the death combinations for louisville. I will be rooting my hind end off for my cards, but I'm taking a realistic approach. I do hate to bet against my cards, but I just dont think they have this one in them. I do hope that the winner of this game takes the title. Lets keep it in the best basketball state in america for the third straight year.

It's this simple, IF Lou. can cause UK to turn the ball over they win. If not, UK's size will prove to be fatal to the Cards. I'll take UK by 4-6 pts. Should be a great game.

^ I think it's more than just turnovers. Louisville has to force UK to take low-percentage shots. If they make them, then there's really nothing to be done, but you can't let Kentucky start getting easy ones or you'll get run off the floor. That's where Louisville's limited post presence is a problem. I think we're going to see a lot of minutes from a lot of different guys just so Pitino constantly has new players to put down there.

As long as its not Harrell because you don't want him in foul trouble, its absolutely what I would do if it looked like they were going to score.
