So, my son the UofL fan gets on Craig's list ASAP when he finds out UK/UL play Friday to see if he can get tix. He's all jacked up, finds two in the lower part of the corner. He goes, pays the guy, verifies the tix are legit, then reads at the bottom that they are Sunday for the Championship :clap:

So, now he's torn, should he sell them and try to get some for Friday, or keep them in the event the Cards win he can go to the regional final. So, being older and wiser, I told him to come home Friday, watch the game with me, then if UofL wins he has great seats for the championship. If not, he can sell the seats to the first UK fan who comes calling. Brilliant.

 

I sure hope that he makes a lot of money selling those tickets on Saturday after the game Friday haha!

All the talk about bad matchups is ridiculous. Its the Sweet 16, there are relatively few "good" matchups. The best team will win on Friday, both teams have strengths in the other's areas of weakness. UK plays team ball and keeps the Louisville guards out of the paint they have a great shot of winning. Louisville forces live ball turnovers and gets points off them they probably win. If one team is insanely hot from 3 they'll probably win. Seems like Louisville has been looking for an excuse in case they lose for this entire tournament.

My goodness.

One of the easiest things in basketball to do consitently is rebound if you have size. UK has plenty and they pound the glass consistently and relentlessly. Louisville is certainly capable of winning but if you look the teams they have struggled with are smaller and less talented versions of UK. UK on the other hand struggles against long athletic players of which Louisville has 1.

 

With that said Louisville probably wins and it will probably snow all weekend and make my life miserable.

Isn't it great that we are even having this discussion. I can't bare the thought of losing to Louisville in the tournament but both fan bases should be proud and excited.

I would just accept, this game will take years off my life. Couple that with the final four in 2012 and my life expectancy is dropping like a rock.

IMO it's an upset if UL wins.

I wonder if I give someone my cell # and then they can text me when there is only 1 min left in the game and then I can turn it on. That way I may save a few ulcers from forming during the game.

Perhaps so. I think its pathetic for the defending champion to go into a game against their much lower ranked rival with that line of thinking. I'm sure the players don't, but its a crutch being used by the fans IMO.

As for how I'd feel if you were confident Louisville was better at every position, I'd understand that a whole lot more. The most underseeded team in the bracket that arguably could have been a 1 seed suddenly can't matchup with an underachieving, inexperienced 8 seed?
