I think both teams would/should be underdogs against Michigan, assuming they knock off UT.

Michigan is a terrible matchup for this Kentucky team, and have so many weapons on the offensive end, I think it would be a very tall task to knock them off.

 

I also think Arizona is getting overlooked. They're just going about their business quietly out West.

 

I think we will see a upset,and UT knocking them off.

Only reason a loss to UL would suck (beyond just being bummed their tourney run is over) is because I have a lot of friends who are UL fans and they'd never let me hear the end of it, even though I didn't rub it in their faces in 2012. I was too busy celebrating my team and looking forward to beating Kansas.

Girlfriend is a UL fan, it's hard to quantify how bad this would suck.

My epiphany for the week was my new understanding and categorization of UL fans vs. UK fans. For some odd reason I drove a different vehicle to work this morning and the station was on a local Louisville station and they had a guy in the hotel lobby where the team is staying interviewing people, taking calls, etc.. So, after sitting in traffic and listening to this show, I have now concluded that the UofL ignorant fanbase getslow was referring to does in fact exist, and while smaller in number I'd assume, they're just as goofy as BBN. My deductions from that show are these:

1. UofL fans are more worried about what the UK fans are saying and how they are "bragging" moreso than vice versa.

2. UK fans are more worried about coach Pitino than the UL fans are in reverse.

 

 

The rest is just extra.

I would love to see UK win this game but I'm think Louisville's experience may tip the scales toward them. Smith's quickness getting into the lane will be a problem. When he gets past the guards a lot of negative things can happen for UK. He can score, kick out for 3's, hit back cutters, or draw a foul on our bigs.

Of course he could also get the ball swatted down his throat too, but just saying, he is a big concern for the Cats.

I wonder how many references to the whistle will be posted if UK loses.

Good luck to both teams tonight. I really feel like this is the best rivalry in all of college sports, and while we are busy being at each others throats this week, this game (along with every UL/UK game) is a testament to how passionate our state is about basketball. We ARE College Basketball.
