Predictions?

I haven't seen Wayne County play but I would say by their record alone they would have to be favored. Don't be misled by the scoring averages though. McCracken will certainly get up and down the floor with a team if they play a faster pace. They have the speed to do it. They play in a region that plays awfully slow at times though. I would favor Wayne County. How big do they go?

according to LIT rankings, Wayne would be a 19 point favorite.

No prediction because I know nothing about MC, but I'm pulling for the Cards

Wayne Co. is the favorite but the Mustangs could put up a good fight!

This version of the Cards reminds me of the '89 Cards that made it to the championship game falling just short of the title. Very fun group to watch.

Sticking with the west; have not seen either one this year and it should be a good game.

I say Wayne County by 15+

Wayne is going to be hard to beat by anybody. Those boys just know how to play ball and they shoot lights out.

If Wayne plays their game and doesn't get wound up in the frenzy of being in the State Tournament they could accomplish great things. All they have to do is play the game they way they've been playing it all season long. They had a great season, emerged from an unusually tough district and region (the 12th has much to brag about) battle-tested. Now they need to put their experience and effort together and see just how far they want to go.

I don't think Wayne will have to worry about the "frenzy" of State since they were there last year. You also have Perkins and Gardner that played in the 3A state football championship game just a few months ago so there *should* be a level of poise there. I do worry about cold shooting though. I've seen teams that have filled it up all year hit Rupp Arena and not be able to throw the ball in the ocean.
