Yeah, you come out and adjust to the "floating goals" (what I call them because there is basically no apparent background behind them) or you don't. If you zone in, then all is good. If you don't, then all the other parts of your offense had better be on target or you could be in trouble.

This is a "possible" advantage McCracken could have, although I have no idea what kind of gyms Wayne plays in. McCracken's home gym is very big and spacious and they adjusted well to the bigger CFSB Center where Murray State plays. I realize Rupp's size is a completely different category though. I think anyone expecting McCracken to be rolled over may be in for a surprise.

Wayne County's experience carries them.

 

I look for McCracken to come out hot early given the excitement of being there, etc. but even that might be a little too much since they aren't used to it. There's a huge difference in being "up" for a game and being so "up" that you don't perform well. That's a delicate balance and isn't one I think McCracken Co has mastered yet.

 

I do look for them to pack the house and maybe make some runs where things are close, but I think Wayne County is just too much in the end and they push out the final margin late.
