I should also say that I thought the officials did a very good job, too. Lots of big bodies out there which can make it tough, but the stripes let the kids play (especially underneath) which I liked.

The Ruthsatz/Pangallo call obviously was somewhat controversial and there was one other potentially missed call (out of bounds in front of CCH bench that went NC's way) but other than that I can't recall any issues.

Overall a very well officiated game, in my opinion.

Also, big shout out to the ColonelCrazies. They were fired up & brought a lot of excitement to the arena.

Hopefully tonight they can match Coach Frederick's enthusiasm.

I wish someone had video of them during NCC's FTs. They were BRINGING IT.

Is there any doubt that Ron Dawn has the best hair in the 9th?

Serious question for you NCC historians: how many Pangallo’s have played varsity hoops from NCC?

Rocky, Jimmy, Nicky, Steve, Chris, Matt Heinrichs, Vince Bonhaus, Grant, Zack, and Steve is in 8th grade. I believe that that is it. It is just that so many of them were very, very good.

Editing the video now... first couple mins were basically a Bo Schuh highlight reel at both ends.

I will chime in with my thoughts on the game and will not talk about the officiating. CovCath depth showed yesterday and is why I said early on that they were the favorite to win the 9th. If I am coaching against Ruthsatz and he is going to "perform" in order to draw fouls, he is going to pay the price every time he sets foot in the paint. NCC's problems were more than free throw shooting. Many have complained that they do not throw the ball inside enough, but after what I witnessed I can partly see why. Only saw ball come out one time and that was when older Moeves drilled a 3 ball from the corner. Was Ben Weyer sick, injured, or something else? Played way too few minutes in this game. He has been big all year and yesterday was treated more like a 7th or 8th man would be.

Didn't read the entire thread, but the killer to me was CC's run outs after D rebounds. Their bigs got 4 uncontested layups by running past NCC's bigs down the floor. In fact, between those, drives, & putbacks, I'd confident CC got more points inside 3' of the hoop than NCC did. I don't think anyone would have expected that. And that doesn't count the FT's made disparity.

I know for a fact you have seen many NCC games this year and they are at their best when the ball goes in to come out and you know that.

Come on!!!

A comment on one of your points. This is not meant to imply the ball should or should not have gone inside more, but my guess is McDonald is second on the team in assists. So the ball has come out a lot this year when it went inside. Yesterday was an exception as I thought CovCath did a good job of cutting off the passing lanes.

This rule is at every level and players jump into the defender at every level. Not saying it is a good rule but until it is changed it is the correct call.

You can not be serious, abviously you didn't see the play, that was a terrible call on any level.

Are you serious? watch the video, not even close, charge all the way, come on

That is exactly what I am saying. It went in and did not come out except for the one time that it went back out to Moeves for a 3 from the corner.

I do not know what the reason was that it did not come out, but it seemed to be rather infrequent except for the time that I noted.

It was a different thread and it is no longer with us. A new one was started with the warning from the moderator or this one will suffer the same fate.

ok, but all I was asking was the estimated attendance, isn't there a way to just remove the posts that were inappropriate?
