Pat Forde slams Coach Cal

Featured Replies

As his program crash-landed at rock bottom Saturday at South Carolina, John Calipari excused himself from the proceedings. He got himself tossed by the officials, and then blew off the press conference after hisKentucky Wildcats lost to a team ranked No. 178 in America according to the RPI.

When the going got tough, Cal got out.

It was a nostalgic flashback to December, when Calipari made a four-minute postgame interview appearanceafter losing to Baylor, then abruptly got up and left when the first question was directed toward one of his players. His freshmen sat there and answered the rest of the queries without him.

As UK fans we'll kill the messenger and ignore the fair questions/criticisms.

It's what we do.

This Duke fan doesn't have any beef with Cal or anything he has said or done. I like that he left the freshmen up there by themselves. Accountability lesson.

Pat Forde is a clown. He's been waiting to write that column for years and finally got his chance. Cal deserves criticism but Forde is way too harsh. Him and Cal have beef and this article clearly shows it.

Also he conviently leaves out the fact Cal had to do a post game radio which is in his contract instead of doing a post game pressed which USC scheduled for the same time. He openly cheers against the Cats whenever he has to cover them. I really despise him

I'm a huge UK fan but even a bigger believer in accountability and I think Cal should be held accountable for his actions. He is afterall supposed to set an examp,e to young kids. What kind of example is he setting?

A lot of people do.

Forde could have video of Cal strangling puppies and many would say "yeah but he wrote a book with Pitino."

The guy did buy a round of drinks for his media buddies when UK lost to WVU in 2010. Have heard the same story from 2 guys that were there...

I've heard that story many times.

The criticism of Cal is very fair, but it would be better received if it came from someone that didn't openly hate him.

"Hate" is such a strong word.

Ignorant post

When a team struggles the coach has to be held responsible but let's not act like he is the first coach ever ejected. Out of curiosity what did forde write when beohiem got ejected in a 2 point game?

"Hate" is such a strong word.

Pat hates Cal & Cal hates Pat. Neither of them shy away from that.
