March 2, 201412 yr As of now lunardi put UK as a 6 seed. The guy usually is pretty money with these. A 6 seed is fairly comfortable in the tourney. So if they lose out they might slide to an 8 maybe 9. Not really bubble material if you ask me
March 2, 201412 yr Even if they lose out I might agree, but you don't know what other teams are going to do either. I don't see them losing to Bama. This is a preemptive thread. Like I said if they lose out they might be a bubble team but it's not worth discussing until after the fact IMO, no way they become a bubble team. I could see them being anywhere from a 5-8 seed.

Not really bubble material if you ask me He is money with who makes the field, which a monkey could do within 1 or 2 teams of projecting at large bids. As far as seed lines he is usually way off base and does one of the worst brackets in the media. That said, UK isn't a bubble team now and it is highly unlikely they get anywhere near the 11 or 12 seed line that is the bubble. Probably should be in the 7-10 seed range given their resume and I'd say they belong closer to 10 than 7...
March 2, 201412 yr SC out scored UK in each half to capture it's 11th win on the season. UK is now in a "must win" scenario vs Bama to lock in a bid and avoid a 3 game losing streak going into the SEC tourney. "Must win" scenarios are for bubble teams. Well let's just change the name of the teams tOSU is in a "must win" scenario on the road at IU to avoid going into the Big 10 tournament on a 3 game losing streak and avoid being 7-9 in their last 16.
March 2, 201412 yr If UK doesn't make the tourney, I hope pressure is put on Cal to change his ways because it is clearly not working.
March 2, 201412 yr Bubble or not, they play like this they are done 1st round. They are losing to bubble teams or teams that may not get in the tournament.
March 2, 201412 yr Bubble team? No, I don't think so. But they just took two body blow losses that they could not afford in terms of NCAA seeding. ESPECIALLY the one to South Carolina yesterday.

An OSU bball fan could probably tell you more I don't follow them. I know they aren't good though.

March 2, 201412 yr Who says it is a must win and why is it a must win? Well a 4 game losing streak.. 2 against teams with a losing record gives UK 10 losses, 11 counting the SEC tourney, that is a bubble team. Committee looks at how teams finish the season.
March 2, 201412 yr If UK is a bubble team then so are about 25 other teams. UK's resume is not great, but go compare it to actual bubble teams and get back with me. Lose out, then ok, maybe so.
March 2, 201412 yr Author UK was a projected 5 seed before this mess. How do you go from a 5 to the bubble? It makes no sense. A projected 5 seed (and falling IIRC) before losing a home game (and being swept by Arkansas) and then a road game to a horrible South Carolina team.
March 3, 201412 yr Author Lol no... They have 8 losses, heck Kansas has 7 and I don't see anyone calling them a bubble team. This overreacting to losses this season is starting to get ridiculous. College BBall this year has had so much parity this year that every team is struggling or had its struggles. Syracuse lost at home to BC! UK fans live in a snow globe, if something bad is going on it only is at UK. But in reality it's everywhere else too. UK has neither the quality wins nor quality losses of Kansas. Horrible comparison between us and a team with that type of strength of schedule.
