February 23, 201412 yr He won't sign that. No way. I guess 100M over 6 years about 55-60 guaranteed. If he wins the Super Bowl next year he will cost much much more. :lol2::lol2::lol2::lol2::lol2::lol2::lol2::lol2::lol2::lol2::lol2::lol2::lol2::lol2::lol2::lol2::lol2::lol2::lol2::lol2:
February 24, 201412 yr I agree in opening up a dialogue with his agent. I wont agree if they actually extend him him this off season. I wait until next season to do that.
February 25, 201412 yr .... Just playing Devil's advocate: if you were a QB who had taken your NFL team to the playoffs in three straight years and were Top 5 all-time in nearly every QB stat for first 3-year QB's, and you were entering the last year of your deal, would you show up for camp? Would you play in the last year of a deal? Please don't give me the real world "you sign a deal, you play," nonsense; this is pro sports, not the real world.
February 25, 201412 yr I could see Dalton asking for $10 million/year but we'll see how the talks going. Anything beyond this number, is ludicrous IMO on the Bengals part.
February 26, 201412 yr I could see Dalton asking for $10 million/year but we'll see how the talks going. Anything beyond this number, is ludicrous IMO on the Bengals part. He is going to ask and get much more that $10 million a year. Least he would settle for would be the Cutler contract, &127 mil over 7 years; $54 mil guaranteed. His agent would laugh at $10 mil. Many Bengal fans won't beieve it, but he would get that on the open market and there are several teams that would like to have been in the playoffs 3 staright years. I know the playoff record and he has stunk it up, the last two. The first one they just could not handle Arian Foster. It won't matter in the business world of pro football. In most cities a playoff team brings lots of revenue outside of the bunch every team gets. Like it or not, I believe we have him for the long haul barring injury or he does a Palmer.

Well let him go to the free market. No way is he worth 127 million..He hasn't done anything to deserve the type of money, he's chokes every big moment he gets. Just because someone else may sign him at that tag doesn't mean the Bengals have to. If the Bengals are lucky, the Browns will sign him.
February 26, 201412 yr Horrible move. We know how the Bengals work, when they sign a guy to big bucks he plays no matter what which means this franchise is dead in the water until Dalton retires. I'm proud of you. I expected quite a bit more. Your restraint is respectable sir!

February 27, 201412 yr 10 million a year to be average and never win a playoff game. Good gig for Dalton, they should give Green 20 million a year since he does all the work after Dalton lobs the ball up.

Actually if you look at QB salaries around the league you could argue that $10 million would be a value. Salaries are crazy.
