If Joe Lawmaker opposes said silly legislation, the NRA will put his face on a billboard with Obama's (which is what the NRA did to a Tennessee congressman). This bill is all about bowing to power.
February 13, 201412 yr People used to have guns at bars. And people used to duel outside those bars. Bad idea, in my opinion. What is stopping those same people from carrying a gun now since you are talking about criminal behavior.

It's not about extending a law-abiding gun owner's right to self-defense in a bar? I don't see what the fuss is about. Now, law-abiding gun owners may carry a concealed firearm in a bar. Good. We need more good guys with guns if the bad guys are already carrying them. For the record, I'm not a fan of the NRA. They compromise too much.

Too many law-abiding citizens are left defenseless because of onerous laws such as gun free zones and expensive permit fees. You're assuming law-abiding good guys are guilty of a crime before they even commit one. Geez.

Was anyone carrying at Molly Malone's at the BGP event a few weeks ago? :lol2: Mine was in my safe in my car and I did not drink anything while there if memory serves correct. I'm not crazy about this law but I won't lose sleep over it. I leave mine at home. Used to keep it in the car back when I was concerned about a pointed threat to my life (long story that's not good for public forum), but that worry has passed. The temptation to use it against my opponents -- other drivers -- was great, so I leave it at home now.

February 13, 201412 yr Okay, I'll bite. Because both ideas are idiotic? Sorry, if that came out as a trap type of statement. All that I was saying is...evidently it's already legal to open carry a weapon into a bar. And I haven't heard/seen anything on here about how people are upset at that being allowed. But, now to suddenly say that concealed carry is being considered...all of a sudden people are getting all worked up about that. But when it's all said and done, isn't the end result still the same? Guns in bars. :idunno:
