February 12, 201412 yr ...because who among us hasn't seen a bar fight and wondered, "Wouldn't this situation be resolved better if firearms were involved?" http://www.courier-journal.com/article/20140211/NEWS0101/302110046/Bill-allow-concealed-carry-guns-bars-advances-Kentucky-Senate
February 12, 201412 yr Author ....but is SAYS concealed carriers can only do so, so long as they’re not drinking alcohol.
February 12, 201412 yr Meh. I'm in for it if bar owners can refuse. I know a few places with metal detectors out front on certain nights. ... not that I've ever spent a Wednesday evening at the Phoenix Hill Tavern before...
February 12, 201412 yr Bar owners can still refuse this doesn't change to much. If I'm not drinking and the bar allows it I see no reason I shouldn't be allowed.
February 12, 201412 yr Author I can't help but think that there is something to be said for the fact that the "bar" is a location so prone to fights occurring that it actually has it's own pseudo-subcategory of fight.
February 12, 201412 yr I'm all for gun ownership, and their rights, but this is a disaster waiting to happen. Of course, I can't remember the last time I stepped foot in a "bar" in Kentucky. The allowance of smoking forced me across the river long ago.

The allowance of smoking forced me across the river long ago. Molly Malone's, Dickmann's, and The Pub in Crestview all banned smoking. All in NKY. I'm sure there are more.
February 12, 201412 yr No smoking in Louisville bars. Only had one experience with Louisville bars. My brother's wedding was in Louisville back in November 2012, and we were staying at the Galt House. After the reception ended, we all made our way to the "Aquarium Bar" in the hotel for a few more drinks. About 1 am, a group of us decide to head up to 4th street, since it was easily within walking distance. We walk into a bar (no cover), walk up the stairs, and hear the DJ scream out, "Where all my (insert term for a female dog) at?", to which almost every chick in the place let out a blood curdling scream. We all looked at each other, laughed, and walked right back down the stairs and back to the hotel bar. I'm getting old. :lol2:
February 12, 201412 yr ^ Fourth Street Live... HAHAHAHAHAHA. Unless you're prepared, it's best to stick to the first floor. The top floor of Fourth Street -- TF4S to the expert navigators -- requires a certain mindset and a suspension of your person feelings of pride and shame in order to be properly enjoyed. ... there probably shouldn't be guns anywhere near it...
February 12, 201412 yr It's every Kentuckian's 2nd Amendment right to get loaded while fully loaded. It's cold outside. Better take a full metal jacket and your beer sweater. (Is "beer sweater" something anyone says outside of Dayton? I get dumb looks when I talk about it.)
February 12, 201412 yr Author It's cold outside. Better take a full metal jacket and your beer sweater. (Is "beer sweater" something anyone says outside of Dayton? I get dumb looks when I talk about it.) I don't use it personally, but I've heard it plenty around the Greater Cincinnati area.
February 12, 201412 yr I don't use it personally, but I've heard it plenty around the Greater Cincinnati area. I don't use it much these days either (mostly because in the years since college, the idea of going out in the winter without a coat seems pretty dumb).
