Not for sure about Elizabethtown and Montgomery County being below Lincoln County.

Feb. 14th Newport Catholic/Holmes @BOKC & Feb. 18th Newport Catholic @Trinity, going to be a couple of "good ole good ones".

Great job on the rankings.

Really hoping to find my way to Lexington Saturday for the Trinity/Scott Co. game. Haven't seen Scott Co. since I watched them play Ballard in the first game of the season.

I really like the look of the Top 10 here. Tough for me to be critical beyond that. Just don't know the teams very well.

Lincoln County lost to Montgomery by 2 at Montgomery County on December 29. That was the last game that Lincoln County lost and I'd argue that if they played again Lincoln would win regardless of where the game was played.

Elizabethtown was unranked last week and manhandled Montgomery County. Going from unranked to 14th is a huge leap.

If Montgomery County hadn't have gotten manhandled so badly then they wouldn't have dropped so much.

Hard to justify the Lincoln ranking, IMO.

South Oldham 80, Lincoln County 53

South Oldham is unranked. Either South Oldham is grotesquely under-ranked in this poll, or Lincoln is over-ranked.

Can't base a ranking on one game though. Lincoln County is playing really good basketball right now.

I watched South Oldham STRUGGLE with Oldham at home. I understand that is a rivalry game, but I'm not sure they deserve to be ranked. I also saw Collins lay the wood to them early.

Nice job on the rankings.

After the top 10, it's a crapshoot. You guys really put out a quality product.

Which region has the most teams from this list? I'm from the 9th so all I know is we've got 3.

This clears it up... thanks.

4 from the 14th. Incredible. Feel for the teams who won't be able to get out of the region come March.

Can't base a ranking on one game though. Lincoln County is playing really good basketball right now.

Agreed. And - to Spindoc's point - I also saw South vs. Collins and South vs. Oldham. I broadcast both games.

But....the South vs. Collins game was the second game of the season. That's a LOOONNG time ago. And if we're going to take that game into account, how does the following make sense?

#13 - Lincoln Co - lost to South Oldham by 27

#18 - Collins - beat South Oldham by 18

unranked - South Oldham

And Oldham County is a pretty darn good team. (16-5 on the season)

Bottom line, I'm not sure South would be in my top 20 right now, but they wouldn't be far outside it. I've seen them a lot, and South is playing awfully well (14-2 on the season and on quite a streak at the moment).

I just can't fathom a team ranked 13th losing by 27 to an unranked team. Sorry, something's awry with that picture. I agree that Lincoln's a strong team, but their place (or South's, or Collins') doesn't make sense to me.

Honestly, on another front, Collins should be ranked much higher, IMO. I think their game vs. Trinity may have proved that point.

Lincoln was also without timmy, for that game, and it was early in the season

For the ones that question the rankings, it is not based on 1 game but their overall profile.

We could look at college rankings and pull out games that make a ranking look bad.

Overall a great job on the rankings.
