How many spaces do you type in after a period?

I've always done two, and will continue to do so.

Depends. If I am writing in a Word document or a post on BGP, I use two. If I am doing website work, I use one.

I've always done two, that's the way I was taught in school. Son said that he was taught one space in school.

Coach T taught me to put in two spaces, so I put in two spaces. Every time, all the time.

I think twitter (limited space) and print media (limited space) has a lotto do with some going to 1 space

I had it explained to me that prior to modern letter spacing via more modern typewriters, word processors, and printers, it was used to make a visible end to sentences so you wouldn't run the risk of skimming past a sentence and thinking it was running right into the next one.
