The Red Sox got some payback on Maile yesterday when Dustin Pedroia faked him out a couple of times on a play at the plate. The throw home beat Pedroia by about 15 feet but he was able to avoid Maile's initial tag with a great slide. He missed the plate though and while attempting to get back to touch it he used a couple of dance moves to avoid Maile again. Maile was able to finally get the tag on Pedroia but in doing so he lost the ball. Pedroia's run proved to be the game winner in Boston's 3-2 win which was their 11th in a row.

Crazy play. I think the fact that Luke had to wear a bigger mitt for the knuckleballer contributed to this. Great moves by DP.

I'd say that you are exactly right. It looked like the momentum from the swipe slung the ball right out of the glove. Crazy way for a winning run to score.
