Suspect it will be a bit before any rosters are circulated. Basketball kids won't be able to do anything until after season is over. Lots of moving parts before the 1st scrimmages against McNick on 3.15.14.

I'm guessing Highlands is now in a position that Varaity is JR/SR only with JV all inclusive Soph with a sprinkle of a Frosh or two, and Frosh will be just that and possibly 1 or 2 eighth graders. Just going from last year.

Coach Baioni has implemented a very nice transition plan for HHS baseball and it is all finally coming together.

 

Each yr he has been taking baby steps and has grown the program as a whole, he has had some bad luck and some good luck along the way.

 

The days of 18 yr old young men beating up on 13 and 14 yr old kids are over, the game is even now and the Dirty Birds have arrived.

Any word on how things are going in preseason camp? Have all cuts been made? Were there any 8th graders that made the frosh team? I believe the season is about 1.5 weeks away according to KHSAA.

Thanks t-birds. That should be a pretty good mix for the frosh team. How many does that leave for the JV and Varsity? Will there be 18 on each of those teams as well or will there be fewer total and some kids will simply bounce up and down at various times during the year?

A lot of 8th graders. Did they cut a lot of frosh or were numbers down? I know at least a couple that didn't try out this year.

Registered users have very little stored message space, like maybe 1 message max. Premium membership gives you much more message space.

Not sure folks outside of the coaching staff know anything. Closed tryouts, but I did hear that the Dougherty kid is playing which is a plus and there are a slew of new freshman coming out. Might be a few ringers in that group. :ylsuper:
