Boyle County Head Coaching Vacancy

Featured Replies

Sooooo, Boyle County joins the list of strong programs that are in need of a head coach this upcoming season after Larry French resigned this morning.

The names I am going to throw out as replacements are John Hodge, the head coach at Bourbon County and the one I heard yesterday in Louisville.....Bill Letton.

Any other names to put on the list?

I have no idea if they would be interested but current assistants Chris Mason and Jeff Hester might warrant discussion.

I think it's obvious what has happened here.

Dale Mueller resigned from Highlands because he knew that the Boyle job was opening up. :thumb:

My gut says it is John Hodge's job if he wants it.

They should VERY much warrant discussion.

This, too.

Any chance they go after Chuck Smith? I know he just took the Madison Central job but is there any chance he makes a comeback?

You might be on to something there. He loves to fish and he would be able to have the Turtleman become his number one assistant so that after practice they can go out and hit the various fishing holes in Boyle County and the surrounding area.

It's really quite simple when you unravel it. :lol2:

I wonder if Chuck Smith knew this was a possibility before accepting the MC gig.

My feelings are Chuck Smith would never come back to Boyle. Even if he was available. Nothing to gain and everything to lose.

I feel like if we knew about French possibly leaving and the Boyle job opening up then Chuck Smith did also.

Bill Letton Anyone?

And he could bring Dale Mueller on to his staff. :lol2:
