Dried lima beans and ham, slow-cooked. Leftover pork roast, greens and crescent rolls.

Good meal, "dried Lima beans" we called those butter beans growing up.

Peppers turned out alright. Filling was delicious, although more sauce than the recipe calls for is needed. We need to master cooking the peppers though. After the allotted time, they were still pretty crunchy. After an additional 25 minutes they softened up quite a bit. They were good enough that we'll be giving it another try in the future.

I always blanch the peppers for about 3-3/12 minutes before fixing.

Me either, love it. I planted some 2-3 years ago. Believe it will be ready to harvest this spring.

Knotty Pine for fat Tuesday last night. Did the scallops, red beans and rice, green beans. Shared some apps. Oysters and alligator. The crawfish were not there yet.

My great-grandmother served them in a separate bowl in buttermilk.

Not cheap but it is super yummy!

Gotta try the Crawfish Broil. Tuesdays in season. I do not reccomend the large order. Way too much food.

I need to hit the grocery store in the worst kind of way, but I've been avoiding it with the winter weather.

Did you boil the peppers first?

Yes. Probably should've longer, but the recipe called for 5 minutes so that's what we went with.
