Beginning week #3, and I'm starting to get into the groove. Down 11 lbs, 2 inches in the waist, 2 inches in the hips. Now able to do some light interval training for cardio, and my strength is coming back nicely, able to do multiple reps on the bench at 225lbs. From keeping a food diary, I'm able to fine tune my macro nutrient intake and have dialed in what supplements I need to be taking. I'm using the App "My Fitness Pal" and it is a godsend. So easy to use, you can scan bar codes with your phone and it automatically enters the nutrient/calorie info. So much easier to use than the software I was using 6-7 years ago when I was still in my bodybuilding phase. You can also update your exercise log on the fly, as you go.

Looking to drop 15lbs by the end of May and another 3-4 inches in the waist. By that point I'll only have another 15lbs to go to hit my old college weight when I was actually an athlete.

Sweating and feeling great on this stormy Monday. :thumb:

Have a great fitness week, everybody!

Fell off the boat for a while, going to try to get back into it this week. I'm cutting out lunch and doing shakes instead. We'll see how well (or how long) that goes.

70 minutes in the gym and then home for a tapout XT workout(Ripped Conditioning) 42 minutes.

Pure cardio this morning.

Also---started a new gig where I'm on my feet for 5 hours straight. I'm starving by the end if the day. Need to start packing almonds and such to snack on.

I use my Zija Fit App and keep a diary of my food intake. It calculates the calories and it has helped me tremendously during the month of April.

I set a goal of losing 8lbs and it calculated how many calories daily I would need to stay under. I have been under every day and a few days several hundred calories under. I am down 6lbs so not the original goal but still happy. Started at 223lbs and got on scale today at 217.2 which is the lowest I have been in 8 yrs.

3.5 mile run tonight.

So glad the water fountains are on again at the parks.

Had a little hiccup last week. Came down with a pretty painful case of gout (of all stupid things, eating clean for the last 3 weeks, and I get gout!!). had to take Thursday-Saturday off of my normal routine, although I was able to work in some pushups and core over those three day. Got a good push in today though, 30 minutes on the stationary bike, a good heavy leg day in the gym, and a 1.5 mile walk with the dog, plus some yardwork. No soda or beer over the last 3 weeks, and still eating clean. Down 12 lbs. Hoping to lose 10-12 more this month and be down 30 by late June.

It's been a great year so far fitness wise for me. I have lost around 40lbs training for a triathlon. Biked almost 20 miles and ran 6K yesterday. I start the swimming in one week.
