Just finished this for a total of 9,150 this week. Feels good to start getting the yardage up.

#1: 200s at T-pace + 5”

Type: Swim

Planned Duration: 1:00

Description: WU: Start slow and gradually build pace/effort.

4 x 200 done as 100 swim, 100 kick

10 x 50 done as 25 drill (your limiter), 25 swim

MS: 8 x 200 (10”) at T-pace + 5 sec

CD: 200 easy. Stretch out your stroke

Total 3100

Ended up doing 50 extra. My T-pace is 1:34 and I was able to hold the prescribed pace throughout the duration.

Today it was Cardio Power and Resistance, then Pure Cardio.

I think I might be sore tomorrow, and that's a good thing!

I have the time and motivation today. But what to do?

An extra long Insanity DVD or run outside and hope the weather holds up?

Not a bad week for me, so far.

I am hoping to get in the gym this weekend and do cardio at home both days.

Cardio day only today, 6 miles on elliptical. Sore back, think I overdid the sit ups yesterday. Got Mrs. Birdbrain to the gym 2 days in a row to walk the treadmill for 1.5 miles each day…enticed her with the stand up tanning bed...

Just ran a marathon. That makes 10 for me now. Took one on the chin in transit to the start line as my watch's battery had died. I have no clue what happened since I just charged it. Luckily I'm experienced and can run on feel now pretty well and know my pace. I posted a 3:30:34, a new PR by about 6 minutes. Talk about a gut-punch in almost being able to break 3:30:00. 8:02 pace overall.

That's amazing! Congrats!!

Max cardio today. Love that I'm getting back into a daily routine with the workouts. Nothing better!

I've been keeping up with workouts, just forgetting to post. Friday it was cardio power and pure cardio, Sat it was core cardio and recovery with weights---plus about 4 hours if yard work. Today it's rest.

Anybody else out there? Guess I'm talking to myself. :lol2:

Still here.

My cardio program is over.

My weight went as high as 217 down to 206, which Is what I weighed in at today.

The gym is going well but the strength is not coming back.

I guess it will in time.

Keep up the great work.

Don't get discouraged, NCF! Focus on the positive.

Yesterday - a 400 wu, 6 x 200, 500 kick, and 150 cd in the pool. Followed up with a windy hour on the bike and a 50 minute brick run.

Today - 2 hilly hours on the bike with soul-crushing wind. Followed up by a 15 minute "check your cadence" brick run.

For a cool-down went with the family for a 5 mile walk around the lake in a pair of flip-flops like a dummy.

I am down 3lbs since last week. I started counting my calories daily and cap myself at 2800. It has been a huge help.

I have stepped up my cardio as well. I am now hitting the heavy bag an extra 5 minutes and my endurance is much better.

Another clean & jerk PR tonight at 215. I didn't even realize it until after I had made the lift. Thought it was 210, was super pumped when I realized it was a PR.
