I am thinking 20 or so for Dalton.

I would no doubt take Alex Smith over him from the pack rated beneath him.

That is a reasonable ranking.

No way you have RGIII above Dalton today.

I would put Smith ahead of Dalton.

I'd take Dalton over Schaub.

Newton is a TBD. They don't put the game in his hands yet. He may get there but not yet.

Dalton finished 15th in the NFL QB ratings, right behind Alex Smith and just ahead of Cam Newton. (passers with 200+ attempts)

NFL Stats: by Player Position

Dalton has lowest QB rating in the playoff games so far.

Also, please note Dalton tied for 1st in the NFL in passes completed of 40 yards or more. He was 6th in completions of 20 yards or more. He was 3rd in TD passes and 6th in INT's.

I will take RG3 and Cam right now over Dalton every day of the week.

Agree with all of that, with the exception of Newton. He brings a dimension Dalton doesn't. And I'm not fond of Dalton when you put the game in his hands either.

So if Washington called the Bengals today and wanted to trade RG3 straight up for Andy Dalton you would say no? And assume you are a Bengals fan and have their best interests in mind.

Cam, definitely yes. RG3, I think, is damaged goods, based on his Washington experience.

You can have RG3.

What have you seen from Cam?

7 of the 8 QBs playing next weekend are ranked in the top 14. And I'd say Rivers may be a little low at 19. Looks like you do need a good QB to succeed in the NFL

I'd probably put him somewhere in that 15-17 range. I'd move Flacco back to around 15, and move Stafford, Smith and Rivers Higher. up higher. Vick and Schaub shouldn't be on the list, so really, 17 is probably a good spot. Just a touch below average.

That is Mike Brown rule #1. You probably don't want to hear that but it is true.
