Green Bay even has 13k seats left to sell.... wow. I think all will sell out but very surprised with Green Bay as they have a waiting list of 100k for season tickets.

It's exaggerated. Tickets didn't go on sale to the public until last Thursday I believe. It's not like these teams have had months to buy them and just haven't been able to.

As a Packer season ticket holder, I can tell you this: The way they do the post-season ticket package is STOOOOPID! First, they send it ridiculously early, like the day the league authorizes it when you don't even believe they can make the play-offs. Then, they bill you only for the number of seats you have (so if you have 4 but only want 2, too bad) and for a minimum of two games - one of which is the NFC Championship which they clearly were not going to host. The money was due before Christmas, was not refunded in part but applied to next year's ticket invoice. We could not tie up $1500+ - especially since it came down to that last game.

Don't know if all teams do it this way, but it is the one thing I think the Pack doesn't do well.

The game is going to sell out. They've sold out how many straight? Most go down to the wire, but they always do what's necessary. Same will happen here.

Bengals released a statement saying unless sales really pickup it's going to be blacked out.

Saw that. Chad then tweeted out he'd buy what's left to avoid it. Not sure how serious he was.

No way Channel 12 let's that happen. Too much local / national revenue.

I would cost him close to a million dollars at this point. I hope for his sake he isn't that stupid.

Its been four years since my Chargers were in the playoffs. Nobody expected us to be anywhere close this year. What this team lacks in talent (a lot), they make up for in guts. This will be the 3rd meeting for these two teams in 13 months. Hard to beat a team 3 times in that short a span. When we met in San Diego, you ran all over us, and Gates fumbled twice in the red zone (after only two fumbles in his previous 10 seasons), and it was still only 17-10. Since then, some things have been different. We went to Arrowhead and gave them their first home loss of the year (with all starters incidentally). We went into Mile High and gave the Broncos their first home loss of the year. We have Johnson and Ingram back on defense, and you all are missing your LG and C. And while I know that Philip Rivers is not that popular on this board, he is a player's player and in my opinion, the great equalizer here. I have suffered as a Charger fan since 1979 (I was crushed by that loss in 1981), but I think we pull the upset Sunday.

He's an impressive athlete.

I understand that, but I was just pointing out it's not just a "Bengal" thing and people may realize that if you throw a team like the Packers in the same situation. I think there is no way the local companies let it be blacked out. There was even a report a couple years ago how much Kroger loses when they aren't on TV as people host parties to watch the games.

Know a couple of season tix holders that passed on playoff tix. That's sad...

Here's a drawing for two free tix from CityBeat magazine. As of 10:45 a.m. Jan. 1, there is still roughly 1 day and a half to enter. Right now only 170 people have. I decrease my chances by announcing it here, but I'm cool with it. If It's cold as hell It might be better that I didn't win anyhow.

Good luck!

Packers still have 8500 tickets left.

Not really. Why would anyone pay $100+ to stand in the freezing cold to watch the game when they can spend $20 and have a 12 pack of beer, some wings, and the cozy confines of their living room? Not to mention the beauty of HD and instant replay.

I think you are on to something. I am a long-time season ticket holder in good lower level seats at about the 20 yd line. Add to your scenario, a fair amount of very, very drunk idiots spilling beer, mouthing off and making a fool of themselves. This year we had a guy in the row behind us throw up and one pee himself. Security at the stadium is a joke.

Yeah I was one of the ones that passed on the NFL's stupid playoff ticket buying procedure as a season ticket holder. Then I turned around and bought 6 for the game this week only 14 rows off the field for much less. Sounds like a no brainer doesn't it.

Not really a bad idea to pass if they do it the same way they did whennimhad season tickets. Back then as soon as they could sell tickets they made season ticket holders buy tickets to all the games that the team could possibly host and it was back in Nov. so since the Bengals still had a good shot at 1 or 2 seed they would of made you buy tickets to all the playoff games then and if they didn't host that many home games you would be reimbursed by discounting your season tickets next year.

That is usually lot of money right around the holidays and can get expensive. so a lot of people don't purchase them then because they can't afford to pay for 3 games and 2 tickets a game etc.

I don't know if they changed it, but when I had season tickets that is how they did it.
