January 1, 201412 yr Not really a bad idea to pass if they do it the same way they did whennimhad season tickets. Back then as soon as they could sell tickets they made season ticket holders buy tickets to all the games that the team could possibly host and it was back in Nov. so since the Bengals still had a good shot at 1 or 2 seed they would of made you buy tickets to all the playoff games then and if they didn't host that many home games you would be reimbursed by discounting your season tickets next year. That is usually lot of money right around the holidays and can get expensive. so a lot of people don't purchase them then because they can't afford to pay for 3 games and 2 tickets a game etc. I don't know if they changed it, but when I had season tickets that is how they did it. Its pretty much the same way I believe. I didn't buy season tickets, but I bought the ticket packs for each game which gave you the same seats all year and the same discounted ticket prices as season tickets. Except didn't have to pay for a seat license and didn't have to pay for 2 meaningless preseason games. I received an email 2nd after season ticket holders, and they were going to make me have to pay for the possibility of 2 home games. Which I didn't do because that was a lot of money. I ended up waiting until they offered only this first playoff game before I bought it, and I will worry about the AFC Championship game if we end up getting to host it. Apparently its the same way throughout the NFL on how they do playoff tickets, and it's just stupid how they do it.

January 1, 201412 yr Price is the driving factor? I would assume that is probably the main driving factor. If it was just a Cincy thing then maybe not, but the fact that Indy which is in doors and Green Bay are both in the same boat shows it probably is the money. Then as people mentioned the timing of tickets going on sale, and how at first you have to pay for 2 games and not just one. This is something the NFL should look into. Until the Economy goes up, they should look into lowering playoff ticket prices. Its one thing if Cincy has a hard time selling out, its another thing when Green Bay is having that same trouble.
January 1, 201412 yr I just think the NFL needs to drop their blackout policy. It's a horrible policy and they need to do away with it like MLB does for playoffs and just show the dang games.
January 2, 201412 yr Can't remember if it's been mentioned here or not but apparently Chad Johnson tweeted the other day that he would buy the rest of the tickets if the game doesn't sell out.

January 2, 201412 yr Too bad that Mondays weather isn't going to be here Sunday. How funny would that be, the last time these 2 met in Cincy in the playoffs was the freezer bowl. Monday is supposed to have a low of -6 degrees. Lol
January 2, 201412 yr He continues to be an idiot. He can be an idiot all he wants if it means I can watch the playoffs.
January 2, 201412 yr Jeff Ruby just tweeted that he bought 100 tickets to donate to military families.
