SSC
What 5 2nd basemen do you rater higher than BP defensively? I think he's probably right around 4th or 5th he might be 3rd, but I haven't thought about it too deeply. I think Pedroia and Barney are better right now off the top of my head. I don't have a problem admitting he has declined some defensively. He's still great though no matter how it's sliced. The point was isn't he going to continue to decline? littleluck55
Ken Rosenthal's latest tweet: "Sources: #Reds' Phillips definitely in play. Team will move him if it improves club in '14." I also saw a tweet said Reds still have a slim chance for Choo but they haven't found a trading partner for Phillips to free up the money.
UKMustangFan
^Yep. Rosenthal also tweeted that while Jocketty has said they won't trade Bailey, people within the organization think he'll be too expensive to re-sign, thus they're willing to move him. Capernicus41
Ken Rosenthal's latest tweet: "Sources: #Reds' Phillips definitely in play. Team will move him if it improves club in '14." First he is good as gone, then he's staying put, now he's back in play... Make up your mind Ken.
Voice of Reason
I also saw a tweet said Reds still have a slim chance for Choo but they haven't found a trading partner for Phillips to free up the money. Based on the numbers I am hearing for Choo, I sure hope the Reds aren't in play for him. That would be the worst contract in Reds history.

AME1981
Though he is all the great qualities we think...I work with a intern and he says Phillips is not very friendly to teammates, Reds workers & does not get along with Votto.
Clyde
Hahahaha you cant make this stuff up. What a tool How does that make him a "tool?" It's all about leverage. He asked for something. Reds said no to adding more to his contract. Players make contract demands all of the time. Hardly makes one a "tool."

Yanks on his no trade list so he said pay me more or I won't do it and sounds like the Yanks balked at that. Someone is still upset about the Votto contract.
