I agree, but it remains the case that there's basically no other avenue at this point. If DNA matching says something happened, only defense is that she said yes.

I had forgotten about Travis Johnson. Meggs took a beating in the media after losing that trail, but he got reelected. That lends credence to Johnson's assertion that the panhandle is different from the rest of the state, more like Valdosta, less like Orlando.

I don't have a problem with what they reportedly said because they were telling the truth. From what I ahve gathered all the ydid was warn her as to what could happen in a football crazy town like Tallahassee. I would prefer they warn me than act like everything would be all roses. The way it is perceived it is that they warned her in an effort to persuade her not to press charges because of who it is. I just don't see it that way. Seems like if they didn't want her to press charges they could have sabotaged all the stuff without her knowing.

 

Big difference between sabotage and trying to convince someone not to press charges.

Yep. When one of these stories comes out, the guy is automatically guilty in the eyes of so many.

 

So true, especially when star athletes or high profile people are involved.
