Exactly! Some want to say on BGP what has CCH done to earn that respect. Fighting injuries they made it and now healthy you always have to be concerned. They make you earn the AGAIN on the back of a t-shirt. Count me as a little uneasy but I will not miss this one. Is it Friday

 

I didn't want to calculate the percentage of posts in this thread from the HHS faithful that continuely state that the Colonels are 'now healthy', however, they are far from it. It seems like when one or two come off the shelf, another one or two go on. It's been a long hard season fighting the injury bug in Park Hills.

 

The Colonels come in still limping and the Birds come in flying high..... I'm just glad CCH still gets the oppurtunity to suit up for another week.

Sorry I don't buy it...

 

No way does CovCath go to Johnsonville and destroy JC with the same team that played Highlands the first go round.

 

Maybe people are still limping and not 100% but that effort the other nite was enough to alert Highlands that they better bring their "A" game against the Blueboys.

 

Some of the CovCath folks "in the know" has put the "gag order" into effect for good reason and now I know why.

 

This is why this is such a great somewhat ongoing rivalry...Because its CovCath and Highlands knows that they are very capable of beating the Birds.

 

Throw the records out the window and forget the score of the first one, Highlands knows that CovCath stands in their way again...Just sayin

Bottom line for me, this year is looking a lot like last year, except I think Cov Cath was better last year than this year. So as I look at last year's scores and this year's, I will go with Highlands 35 CovCath 13.

I highly respect the approach. May be boring for some but refreshing to me. Strong sign of solidarity.

I think that CovCath, this year, offensively anyway, is in a better position than last year. This year they HAVE to rely on the running game to open up their passing game. Last year, with Bir slinging it, they forced their passing game at the expense of what was a decently effective power game. Of course, if they get down by 2 scores early then that gets thrown out the window.

On a side note to the Cov Cath faithful. I want to say thank you from the bottom of heart to some of your fans.. Some of you saw my little brother standing in the line at the game in his army uniform and paid his way into the game.. He told me about it with a smile on his face.. I hope whoever it was reads this and I hope u know that you made a soldiers day. Thank you once again

Blueboys will bring their A game to this contest and looking for Birds to also bring. This will be an EPIC battle again....

Count me as one of those surprised (pleasantly of course) by the score of the JC game. I thought CCH had a chance to win, but I never would have thought the spread would be so great. Something to be said for platooning and developing your players and scheduling tough regular season games.

 

The first game was a butt whooping no question. As some have mentioned however, this is not the same Cov Cath team from two months ago. Though they lost some of their best athletes on the team, the surrounding players who were asked to step up who struggled so mightily in that first game, have matured beyond belief and aren't just "doing their jobs" they are excelling at their jobs.

 

The challenge will, of course, be to sustain drives which keeps Highlands pass happy high scoring offense off the field. I'm not going to predict an outcome- haven't all year so why start now? I will just say that I have enjoyed watching these Colonel boys play this year more than any team in recent memory. It can't be said enough, in a season where everyone wrote these guys off after losing not one, two or three kids, but multiple kids each week, that they have reached down and pulled out victory after victory on guts and heart. Great job and great season so far boys!
