3 Things to Stop Posting On Social Media

Featured Replies

I'm not gonna lie... People that post pics of their kids non stop is kind of annoying too. It's mostly younger people with kids that I've noticed. "Here's little Billy eating his snack today." The next day: "Here's little Billy eating his snack again." If you want to have thousands of pics of your kid, by all means have at it. I don't want/need to see all of them. Keep some of them for yourself.

Not social media related, but along those same lines....My fiancé's sister has a 3 year old daughter and just had twins last May. For about 2-3 months straight my fiancé would text me pictures of them doing nothing at all, and think they were sooooo adorable. Finally, I told her that she just needs to stop, because unless they're my kids, all kids, especially babies are the same. They're ugly, they stink, and they all look alike! She was pretty ticked at me for a day or two, but the pictures stopped. :D

Anyone have a #9?

#9 - What your having (or had) for dinner tonight.

#9a - Where you are having dinner tonight with your 'sweetie' (OK, thats a combo of 9 and one of the original 3.)

(hope my brother does not read this...)

What did I say in that one? "Gotta stay hydrated when drinking in the heat".

I drank that whole pitcher in 3 minutes and jumped right back on the beer. Such good memories. :D

I should have made that my profile pic.

I think I am guilty of all of the above save for one or two.

I haven't really noticed it.

This is the part of facebook that makes me cringe......

"Oh my goodness. I have such a busy day today. First I have to drop off the kids at school. Then I have to drop the dog off at the groomer. But before that I have to pick up the dry cleaning. Then I have to go to Starbuck$. Then I have to find a craft on Pintrest for my son's class party. Then I have to wait for Lawnboy to deliver the package. :lol2: I'll be way too busy to post on Facebook today."

I almost made it my avatar. :lol2:

6: pics of your rooster

Happy to say I have no friends who do this.

I don't use twitter but love Facebook. Facebook has gotten me in touch with more long lost friends than anything else.

Love keeping in touch with them and it's also a great way to keep relatives informed on what is going on and keeping tabs with them. Talking about the out if towners

I agree 100%.

What I don't like...people who are always taking pictures of their food!

I recently read a post by someone who refers to herself as a "selfie". This is one of those people who write long blogs about their day, their feelings, etc. I never heard that term before, but realized that I am friends with several selfies. Sometimes I read their posts, sometimes I skip them. That is the beauty of social media.

It seems like quite a few on BGP have a great amount of disdain for social media sites' date=' which begs the question, if you have such a problem with them, why are you on them? :idunno:[/quote']

I have no disdain at all. I have fully embraced the social media age. :D

Then I have to wait for Lawnboy to deliver the package. :lol2:

A few things I can think of:

-Pictures of your dog. Seriously, nobody cares.

I'll stop posting pictures of my dog when you delete all those pictures of your car. :p

Kid pics for childless people.

...and if you're in the rare breed of folks that has children and you post pictures of your dog... what are you doing? Post annoying pictures of your kid! At least I can understand that...

HATERS!
