3 Things to Stop Posting On Social Media

Featured Replies

Or block them, yes.

But then I will inevitably run into them & they'll ask if I saw something or another that they posted on Facebook & while I don't mind telling them the truth about my blocking them, they get their feelings hurt.

You should tell them, "don't want your feelings hurt, don't post mind-numbing things for all the world to see." :lol2:

I know. That's the whole point of this thread. :lol2:

See, we've come full circle now.

It seems like quite a few on BGP have a great amount of disdain for social media sites, which begs the question, if you have such a problem with them, why are you on them? :idunno:

It's certain things that happen on social media sites some of us wish would stop.

I hate the commercial/kickoff/commercial structure of watching NFL games and wish they'd cut it out. Not going to stop watching football.

6: pics of your rooster

You gonna let him talk to you like that Godot? :D

Maybe I am entertained by it all.

And if it's entertaining to you, more power to ya. :thumb:

And it's not just BGP'ers I'm speaking of either. I hear about this or that crap that so and so posted on Facebook all the time with my circle of friends. I'm constantly telling them, "if all you're going to do is complain about it, why don't you just delete it?" It can't be any enjoyment for the amount they complain.

I have unfriended, blocked, or hidden posts from MANY people on Facebook. The "Hide All" feature is awesome.

Ok #10

I could give a crap what your dog looks like sleeping. Quit posting ignorant pictures of your pets sleeping.

What about my cat?

How about pictures of food that no one will really ever prepare-- even though it is so simple! I'm sure it would turn out just like the image too!

This one probably falls under #1 in the linked article, but I'll take a hundred "Share this if you love Jesus" posts over one of the utterly meaningless "Doing the laundry" type posts.

Guilty of all things posted above. Can't wait to post a picture of my pregnant dogs belly while sleeping when I get home.

I'm not gonna lie... People that post pics of their kids non stop is kind of annoying too. It's mostly younger people with kids that I've noticed. "Here's little Billy eating his snack today." The next day: "Here's little Billy eating his snack again." If you want to have thousands of pics of your kid, by all means have at it. I don't want/need to see all of them. Keep some of them for yourself.

And "Here's Billy. Isn't he the cutest kid you have ever seen?"

(Umm---nope. But my kid is. :lol2:)
